A look back at our weddings in 2016

The summer on any farm is a busy time.  All the preparation and ‘groundwork’ is carried out over the course of the year to ensure an optimum harvest.

At Vallum we are all at full tilt both on the land and in the marquee barn .. with it being Wedding season.

At Vallum we pride ourselves on giving every happy couple a bespoke wedding experience.  They are at the centre of every weekend and we take a lot of time and pride in the preparation for the big day. You can read some testimonials from our weddings here.

Couples getting married at Vallum get an individual choice of food menu that we make, bake and prep all ourselves.  We help to lay up the tables with favours the day before and there is endless time put into the gardens and grounds to do the happy couple proud.

We were so lucky with the weather this year, with October weddings enjoying wonderful photographic opportunities.  We always have straw bales and vintage tractors on hand for farm-wedding photos. Lot’s of wedding parties have been making the most of the natural country scenery our farm has to offer in the barns… even when the sun is shining!

One of the most unique photos this summer 2016 was actually taken of the bride and groom, under an umbrella .. in the rain, against the backdrop of the mown grass path and trees round our little lake.  Melissa Kay, the photographer, did an amazing job.

Bride and Groom

Our marquee is so versatile it looks different for every wedding just by the nature of each couple’s personal choices of flowers, decorations and layout so, for us and the happy couple, every wedding is completely unique, and very exciting.

We are very proud of our venue and that is why we are available to show you our marquee, bar, snug (and even our smart loos!) at a time to suit you.  Any time.
